Actor Bradley Cooper Lists the First Home He Purchased for $2.4 Million

Key Takeaways

  • The 1921 home is a quaint open-concept floor plan
  • It’s the first home Bradley Cooper purchased after his acting career kicked off
  • A manicured exterior is this home’s most unique feature

From saving the galaxy to mastering the American hustle, Bradley Cooper has made waves with a fruitful acting career. The A Star is Born actor is stirring the waters again, this time with a century-old home and a $2.4 million price tag attached to the listing

Cooper recently listed the first property he ever purchased, a petite 1,500 square foot two bedroom, two bathroom abode in Venice, CA. The asking price is nearly double what he purchased it for in 2004, shortly before his acting career really took off. Though the home is on the smaller side, its interior is nothing to scoff at. Designer Santillane de Chanaleille transformed the historic 1921-built abode, giving it a modern rustic appeal that’s difficult to pass up.

A 100-Year-Old Charmer

At first glance, you’d never guess this Venice property was more than a few years old. Santillane de Chanaleille sapped and repurposed the history from its physical appearance, replacing it with the expected and welcomed touches of a SoCal property. Ceilings of reclaimed wood hover over a mix of poured concrete and wood flooring. The wooden theme carries throughout the property, with a wood facade decorating the living room fireplace to contrast the mixed shades of the ceiling.

Pristine white walls help make the darker woods pop, creating a beautiful blend of light and dark  that carries throughout the home. It’s a welcomed contrast that lends to a lighter, brighter living space.

An Open Floor Plan Paradise

The cozy living room with its floor-to-ceiling fireplace opens up to the home’s rustic modern kitchen. The sheen of the concrete countertop bounces light into the rest of the house while the white cabinets and light tile backsplash give the space a roomier appearance. The kitchen is finished off with stainless steel appliances and a long breakfast bar great for sipping coffee and admiring the fresh air coming through the nearby awning window.

The home’s open concept carries into the primary bedroom, which features large doors that lead out to the greenery of the very private yard. It’s the perfect feature for enjoying Venice’s warmer days. The on-suite bathroom features a clawfoot tub and striking terracotta tiles that flow throughout and decorate the separate shower. There’s another access point to the exterior, where a stunning garden awaits with a built-in grill, fire pit, and plenty of seating.

Tucked within all the greenery sits a separate building, ready to be customized to the owner’s needs. It can be converted into a gym or a private office space to maximize every square foot of this Southern California property.

Onto Bigger and Bolder

Why The Hangover star is ready to depart from his 19-year residency in this 1,500-square-foot home is unknown, but it can be assumed Cooper is moving on to something a little bigger on the West Coast.

With the star saying goodbye to his role in the Guardians of the Galaxy, Cooper is making quite a few changes in 2023, and he’s sure to be riding his career high through the Californian real estate mar
