Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne List Their $18 Million Los Angeles Home for Sale

Key Takeaways:

  • Their 1929 Mediterranean-style home was designed by famous architect A.K. Kellogg
  • The 11,565 square foot mansion is filled with ornate, historical details that are original to the home
  • In the last seven years, Sharon has updated the home with modern, over-the-top-glamourous luxuries

History of the Home

Built in 1929, this home is a rare and historical gem in the Los Angeles area. As not many original homes remain in the LA area from this time period, many buyers looking for such classic architecture gravitate to the Handcock Park neighborhood. This home and many other homes in Handcock Park were designed by A.K. Kellogg with ornate details that have been maintained and meticulously restored.

The Osbournes purchased this home in 2015 for just under $12 million and are now selling it for $18 million seven years later. If sold, this will be the second most expensive home ever sold in Handcock Park behind Shonda Rhimes’ $21 million home sale in January of 2022.

Old-World Elegance with Modern Convenience

This home features so many stunning, historical details such as ornately carved door ways, large fireplaces with original mantles, and delicate millwork. As Sharon was known to have unique and over-the-top taste, she spent her seven year stint in the Handcock Park home making modern updates that still remain. The recently renovated chef’s kitchen is complete with state-of-the-art appliances leading to the outdoor kitchen that features a brick pizza oven and top-of-the-line barbeque.

The stunning home also boats an all red velvet home theater room complete with a chalk board above the fireplace signed by Hollywood legacies like Nancy Sinatra and Mel Torme. The primary suite has been updated to include not one but TWO bathrooms and dressing rooms in addition to four other bedrooms in the house and elevator access to all.

The outside of the home rivals the stunning interior with a hand-laid mosaic swimming pool, smartly-decorated loggia, manicured lawn, mature trees for privacy, and more!

What’s Next for The Osbourne Duo

Going forward, the Osbournes will be residing full-time at Welders House, their longtime estate in Buckinghamshire, England. Ozzy reported that he will be building a barn behind the home that will house a studio where he will continue to make music.
