Glenn’s own vision
While Glenn was extremely fond of the property, he was elected to the U.S. Senate. His new government role kept him in Washington DC, far from his cozy suburban oasis. As a result, Glenn and Annie made the decision to sell the property and move to downtown Colombus where travel would be easier.
Since its construction, the home has seen numerous upgrades, but the original floorplan remains largely untouched.
A riverside oasis
The home is expansive, with 3,789-square-feet of living space. Inside, you’ll find four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The living areas are open and airy, featuring natural wood accents and lots of natural light.
Glenn wanted to feel like the beautiful scenery of the river was right inside. As a result, the home features lots of windows, providing 180-degree views of the gorgeous Scioto River. And for the evenings, he created a bubble window in his loft office.
Private paradise
The home is located on about an acre of land that borders the river. Because of the way it’s situated, the property feels extremely secluded. There’s even a large park across the river, blocking the view and noise of any cars that might be passing by.
Outside, you’ll find a large deck and patio area, complete with a BBQ pit, ideal for relaxing with the sounds of the river in the background or entertaining friends at a summer party. There’s also a private boat dock and storage shed.
