Festivals, farmers markets, outdoor concerts… there’s always something fun happening in Columbus! Are you looking for a way to get outside and celebrate the summer? Well, you’ll certainly find no shortage of great events happening all throughout Central Ohio.
Here are some of our favorite Columbus area summer festivals.
The Ohio State Fair
When: July 24 – August 4
Where: Ohio Expo Center, Columbus
What: One event you definitely don’t want to miss! One of Columbus’s most unique traditions, with camel rides, pig races, stage performers, great food, and guest appearances by Kidzbop, Hank Williams Jr., and Toby Keith—just to name a few.
Dublin Irish Festival
When: August 2 – 4
Where: Dublin, OH
What: The world’s second-largest celebration of all things Irish right in the heart of Ohio’s most Irish town. There’ll be live performances, tons of vendors, a DubCrawl, a road race, whiskey tasting, Celtic sports… and much more.
All Ohio Balloon Festival
When: August 8 – 10
Where: Marysville, OH
What: Over 30 hot air balloons, sky jumpers, helicopters, live music, food, drinks, and more! It’s a weekend filled with sky-high fun.
Columbus Food Truck Festival
When: August 16 – 16
Where: Columbus Riverfront
What: Over 50 food trucks (that’s a LOT of food), plus live music, arts and crafts, games, and more.
Millersport Sweet Corn Festival
When: August 28 – 31
Where: Millersport, OH
What: A celebration of one of Central Ohio’s favorite foods—sweet corn! Live music (performances by Ronnie Milsap and John Anderson), a 5k road race, a festival, and more.
Canal Winchester Labor Day Festival
When: August 31 – Sept 2
Where: Canal Winchester
What: A three-day celebration of music, food, and yes, Columbus Zoo animals. Definitely unique, to say the least!
Ohio Renaissance Festival
When: August 31 – October 27, Weekends and Labor Day
Where: Waynesville, OH
What: Each weekend has a different Medieval theme, but there’s always plenty to enjoy—live music, street performers, vendors, food, exhibitions, and much more. There’s even a special trick-or-treat weekend in October.
Upper Arlington Labor Day Arts Festival
When: Sept 2
Where: Northam Park, Upper Arlington
What: A showcase of the works of local, regional, and even national artists across a variety of diverse media. Plus live entertainment, art activities, and plenty of refreshments.
